WHAT A WEEK

First I painted the alcohol ink tile at my sister's (Last week's post.)  Could not wait to get my own supplies and paint some more at home.  Ordered online.  Excitement caused me to order wrong paint.  Ordered Lumiere instead of Alcohol ink. Next I ordered Bisque ceramic tiles instead of regular ceramic tiles.  Experimented with what I had.  While I awaited the correct tiles I went out in the barn and found some broken tile and used it to paint after I had tried the correct paints on paper.

LET THE EXPERIMENTING BEGIN:-)

 

Paint supplies both right and wrong. Lumiere paint in the box and Alcohol Ink out on the table.

Finally have correct tiles.  We will see what happens next week:-)

ALCOHOL INK PAINTING

This is my first attempt at Alcohol Ink painting.  This was done on a 4" x 4" tile and I am hoping to paint some more in the near future.  My sister's niece brought all the supplies and gave us some tips plus I have learned a lot of techniques on YouTube videos. Hoping to accumulate my own supplies soon. Happy to share this on Paint Party Friday.

HAPPY 6TH PPF

JKPP AND PAGE 103

It has been my privilege to participate in the JKPP (Julia L. Kay Portrait Party) since 2010.  There are over 900 members and 50,000 portraits submitted to the group.  Now Julia Kay has a book out called PORTRAIT REVOLUTION that is in print and will begin shipping April 11, 2017.  It will include 450 portraits by 200 of the members.  I am extremely proud to be one of those included and my portrait will appear on page 103 of the book.
