FIRST ATTEMPTS

It has been a long time since I picked up a pen, pencil or marker.  My hands have been crippled with carpel tunnel but seem a little better now and my grandson encouraged me to draw.  Here are my first attempts in a long time.

SCREAMING WEEK

Guess I will share my non-success this week.  I have worked and worked on a portrait of a woman in the Julia Kay Portrait Party.  She is Asian but my work doesn't look a thing like her and I turned her into an older Native American.  I kept trying but now it is time to give up.  I can't share her real photograph as a rule of the JKPP so you can't see what I'm trying to do.  Meanwhile I shall share on Paint Party Friday just to show I did some work this week.

Subject is a beautiful girl with the sweetest smile and I just couldn't come close.  Very frustrating.

MARKER AND DIGITAL PAINT

Back to the JKPP (Julia Kay Portrait Party) and will add to Paint Party Friday also.  Pencil sketches with permanent marker outline and digital paint with digital enhancement.

GAVE UP

My idea was to start Inktober right after Ayala Art 29 faces.  Bad idea.  This was as far as I got.  Days 1 - 9. Will share on Paint Party Friday and now I'm done.  #inktober #inktober2017 #eaghl

DAYS 28 AND 29 END OF SEPT 2017 AYALA ART 29 FACES

Days 28 and 29 of AYALA Art's fun 29 Faces for September 2017. I chose to create 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Art Cards of daytime television personalities. I am late adding Day 28 so adding it with Day 29.  All are daytime stars each day of the challenge. Day 28 is Alex Trebeck of JEOPARDY and Day 29 is Vanna White of WHEEL OF FORTUNE.  Both are pencil sketch and digital paint.  #29Faces
