Sharing this "Markering by EAGHL 2017" of a church friend on Paint Party Friday.

Friday, July 28, 2017

I haven't been doing alcohol ink or digital painting or marker art.  However, I did manage this "Markering" for the JKPP.  Needed something to share there and share here on Paint Party Friday.  I will try to get around to view all the work being done in my absence.

First I do the sketch with black marker.  Often I dread adding color.

Colored in with markers, paint pens, metallic ink pens.  There is a long funny story about how I painted her hair.  Maybe I can tell it sometime.

I came across this markering I created a few years ago as a memorial to my Niece's beloved Pug BoBo.  It is nicely framed and hangs in their daughter's bedroom.
It is one of my favorites. Thought I would share for Paint Party Friday.

This is pointillism done on a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Strathmore Art Card with Stabilo colored pens for JKPP.  I will also include this on Paint Party Friday since it has been a while.

This was my first attempt at Pointillism.  I will try again but it is indeed tedious. I used permanent markers and did this for JKPP.

Julia Kay, the leader of the JKPP (Julie Kay Portrait Party) challenged us to draw on our iPads, Kindles or other tablets, portraits with our noses.  Yes, draw the picture with your NOSE.  Thought I would share my five drawings with PPF.  Give it a try.  I guarantee you will laugh.

More alcohol ink paintings on ceramic tiles this week.  Most recent is named Triplets. Do you know why? Can you find the chicken?

My daughter and granddaughter were here on Mother's Day and did their first alcohol ink paintings.
Here are my daughters and she incorporated Sharpie markers in hers.

Here is my granddaughter's first attempt.  She gave up saying it was awful and I thought it was spectacular.
Adding today for Eve and Kristin's Paint Party Friday.
Thanks gals!

This is a quick digital sketch for JKPP and to share on PPF
This is to celebrate the arrival of my copy of  PORTRAIT REVOLUTION BY JULIA L. KAY.  The book contains over 400 portraits by 200 artists representing 55 Countries, over 900 artists, and 55,000 portraits.
My portrait is on the pages reserved for LIMITED COLOR. My digital drawing is at the bottom on the left.
It was exciting to receive this book and view the work of all the artists I have come to know over 7 years as a member of JKPP.  The work Julia Kay put into this to create the book is amazing.  Just the fact that she created the Julie Kay Portrait Party is amazing.  I am so proud to be included.

I am still enjoying the Alcohol Ink and attempting to control it.  This is a scene on a ceramic tile called MOUNTAINS AND DESERT by EAGHL 2017.  Submitting for PPF also.

First I painted the alcohol ink tile at my sister's (Last week's post.)  Could not wait to get my own supplies and paint some more at home.  Ordered online.  Excitement caused me to order wrong paint.  Ordered Lumiere instead of Alcohol ink. Next I ordered Bisque ceramic tiles instead of regular ceramic tiles.  Experimented with what I had.  While I awaited the correct tiles I went out in the barn and found some broken tile and used it to paint after I had tried the correct paints on paper.

Paint supplies both right and wrong. Lumiere paint in the box and Alcohol Ink out on the table.

Finally have correct tiles.  We will see what happens next week:-)

This is my first attempt at Alcohol Ink painting.  This was done on a 4" x 4" tile and I am hoping to paint some more in the near future.  My sister's niece brought all the supplies and gave us some tips plus I have learned a lot of techniques on YouTube videos. Hoping to accumulate my own supplies soon. Happy to share this on Paint Party Friday.

This is my digital work that will appear in the book.

Happy to share this for PPF with thanks to Eva and Kristin.

I watched the movie POLLOCK last night and got up this morning to attempt a Jackson Pollok but with digital paint. I call this Escape. It is very difficult to "throw" digital paint

Happy to share this for PPF hosted by Eva and Kristin.
